Description

A LOVELY LITTLE WELSH OAK DRESSER; OGEE CORNICE ABOVE THREE SHELVES, THE BACKBOARDS SHOWING TRACES OF OLD FOLK ART EARTH PIGMENTS (WEVE HAS SEVERAL VERY SIMILAR TO THIS LIKELY FROM THE SAME WORKSHOP IN THE SNOWDONIA AREA CIRCA 1770S-1800). THE BASE WITH POLISHED TOP ABOVE T SHAPED ARRANGEMENT OF 4 DRAWERS, RECESSED SHAPED CUPBOARD DOOR. SOLID TIMBER PANELED SIDES AND BACK, STOOD ON SHAPED BRACKET STILE FOOT. OVERALL GOOD CONDITION, BACKBOARDS SHOW TRACES OF PIGMENT (PAPERED OVER IN THE PAST). REMOVABLE LATER SHELVES STRUCTURALLY SOUND AND COLOUR BETTER THAN THE PHOTOS IN THE FLESH. BOUGHT PRIVATELY.PLATES & CONTENT OPTIONAL.
